Planning your Wedding…
This is intended to help our team of photographers better understand the details of your wedding. Don’t worry about not knowing all the details now. We will go through this information with you during a pre-wedding meeting we will schedule with you. This information helps us plan the photography so we capture the images that best tell the story of your special day. The more you can share, the better we will be able to tailor the photography for you and your wedding – no two weddings are exactly alike.
Some Important Things to Consider about Wedding Photography
- Formal wedding photographs take time. We need a minimum of 2½ hours before the ceremony to capture formal images, which includes a half hour rest period for the bride and groom before the ceremony starts.
- A lot of activities precede the photographs (hair, makeup, etc.). Staying on time is important. Otherwise, we may not have enough time for all of the photographs you want.
- Some people in the family won’t want to be in photographs (this is not uncommon). It helps to remind them that being supportive and willingly participating in creating good photographs of YOUR special day is their gift to you.
- We try to allow time for others to shoot pictures (this may vary depending on the amount of time we have to capture formal images). Your photographic experience and quality of pictures will suffer if your attention is not on the photographer you hired, so there will be times we ask others to refrain from taking pictures so we can maintain your attention – your support in these cases is appreciated.
