All coaches, both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches, are expected to contribute during the off-season.
By signing up to be a coach with the Pacifica Tigersharks,you are also signing up to be a member of the Recruitment Committee. The Recruitment Committee meets periodically throughout the calendar year to discuss, plan and carry out multiple recruiting functions. All coaches, both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches, are expected to attend all Recruitment Committee meetings and at least ONE recruiting function.
Separate from Recruitment meetings, there will be several Coaches Meetings throughout the year in which we will discuss all things Football and Coaching, including but not limited to, rule changes, requirements, practice structures, practice plans, drills, philosophies,clinics, etc. All coaches, both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches, are expected to attend all coaches meetings.
Flag Football is an important part of our program. All coaches are highly encouraged to participate. We realize that many coaches are coaching other sports in the off-season, making it challenging to participate in the Flag program. That said, the expectation is that all coaches make every effort to participate in the Flag program.
All Head Coaches, and one Assistant, will be required to attend the Pop Warner Mandatory Coaches Clinic, usually held the 2ndor 3rd weekend in July.
All coaches will be required to complete the USA Head’s Up Football course and other courses as required by Pop Warner.
All Head Coaches, and one Assistant, must be CPR/First Aid certified. The Pacifica Tigersharks will set up and pay for this certification for a date to be determined in the month of July.
All coaches, both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches, will be expected to participate in and promote all Tigersharks fundraisers, including but not limited to, the Annual Raffle and working the Fireworks booth.
All coaches are required to adhere to the Coaches Rule of Conduct as set forth by Pop Warner and the Pacifica Tigersharks.
