If your pet gets ill or sick within the FIRST 5 DAYS, please inform us quickly so we can determine the necessary steps. If you find yourself unable to continue caring for the animal, please coordinate its return with us immediately.

As a reminder to all of our adoptive families, as outlined in our adoption application and contract, if circumstances arise where you cannot continue to care for your adopted dog, it is required that the dog be returned to us.

Let's remain empathetic to the journeys these beautiful animals have endured. Our resuce is committed to ensuring their well-being. By returning them to us, we can carefully assess and place them in new foster homes or forever families.

I agree to provide appropriate shelter, nutrition, regular veterinary care, emergency assistance when necessary, and a secure environment for the pet's well-being.*
I commit to keeping this pet as a companion and dedicating the time required to ensure its comfort, safety, and overall well-being.*
I confirm that if I cannot keep this dog I will return it to Paws For Life Rescue immediately.*
I confirm that this animal can be reclaimed from my property if I fail to comply with the agreed terms outlined in this application and verbal agreements.*
I acknowledge that failure to fulfill the terms outlined in this foster contract, or if any provided statements are found to be false, I agree to surrender the animal(s) under my care to Paws for Life Rescue representatives upon request.*
I agree that if I surrender my animal to anyone but Paws For Life Rescue, I will be responsible for reimbursing Paws For Life Rescue for the costs incurred to retrieve the animal and will no longer be welcome to adopt or foster a Paws For Life Rescue animal.*
Animals will be placed solely as companion animals and must be integrated as family members, receiving appropriate nourishment, medical care, and attention. Adopters should possess the financial means to cater to the animal's needs, covering expenses such as food, supplies, licenses, and veterinary care. It's essential to ensure adequate time is allocated for bonding, training, exercise, and grooming. Continuous confinement without sufficient exercise or human interaction is deemed unacceptable. I consent to a minimum 30-day adjustment period, crucial for the animal's acclimatization to its new environment and family. Adopters are expected to provide proper training and guidance as they establish rapport with the animal. Additionally, all dog adopters are encouraged to enroll in discounted basic obedience classes offered by us. Adopters are urged to reach out with any inquiries or concerns regarding their newly adopted pet.*
Adoption Fee Information: This assists in covering the expenses for medical examinations and care provided so far, as well as spaying or neutering, necessary vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip insertion, and deworming.

I agree to submit the adoption fee stated above upon adoption. In the event of returning the dog, I understand that all except a $50.00 donation will be refunded. Paws for Life Rescue, being an all-volunteer organization, requests that the dog remains with me in my home until a foster home can be arranged.*
By signing this document, the adopter hereby acknowledges and will adhere to the terms and conditions of this contract to the best of their abilities.
